So my wife had sent me TikTok’s of Mousai and found it very interesting. Fast forward to today, we had a dinner date. First impression: A lot of thought went into decorating and furnishing this high end restaurant. We were promptly seated and attended to with great care. My wife ordered the tiger shrimp and I ordered the Mousai and Tiger roll. We also started off some spicy edamame. Food verdict: The spicy edamame was a bit too spicy for us, but they saw that and gave us a sushi roll on the house and apologized. The rolls and the tiger shrimp were AMAZING! I had never seen shrimp so big in my life, but they were exquisite. Overall MOUSAI offers a unique fine dining experience in the the Rio grande valley. A definite A rating and recommendation. Mousai in McAllen is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is stylish, welcoming, and full of great energy. The drinks are absolutely amazing—everything feels thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. What really set our experience apart, though, was the incredible service we received from Franco Cherizola. Franco went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of the entire evening. He was attentive without ever being overbearing, knew the menu inside and out, and had fantastic recommendations that made our night unforgettable. His professionalism mixed with his warm personality truly elevated the whole experience. If you’re looking for an outstanding spot in McAllen with next-level service, Mousai is the place to go—and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Franco, you’re guaranteed a fabulous night!

Came to celebrate my birthday and the food was delicious! The atmosphere is incredible and the waitress, Michelle, was very attentive. She gave us excellent opinions and options. Would definitely come back!!!

Wow! Todo muy Rico! All was delicious! Great service! Loud music! Don’t come to chat! Come to eat and drink! Had the tomahawk the Mac and cheese and some fries and a wedge salad! Wow!!

We literally had the best time at Mousai in McAllen! 🎃 The whole night was perfect for Halloween the theme, the music, the crowd, the DJ everything was on point. The drinks were amazing, the food was just as good as the environment, and the overall vibe was unmatched. They are the vibe.

Had a great experience here!! Food was amazing, our server Michelle was amazing as well always had our tables cleared, refilled our drinks, very helpful and friendly. Would definitely be coming back to this place again

Mōsaui – McAllen, TX What an amazing dining experience! We started with cocktails 🍹 & the Japanese Wagyu appetizer — perfectly tender and rich in flavor. The Dragon Roll with shrimp and fresh crab meat was fresh and beautifully presented. For the main course, the Ribeye steak with fries was cooked to perfection — juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. We finished with the lava cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. The ambiance is absolutely stunning — elegant, modern, and relaxing. Every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. Definitely one of the most luxurious and delicious spots in McAllen! We loved our waiter Roberto highly recommend him very informative and passionate about his job.

A friend of mine was visiting from out of town and I took them here for an unexpected few bites. I had in been before. I was pleasantly surprised with the larger dining portions and the interior is modern, elegant but still quite fun and lively. The pork belly skewer appetizer was really delicious. They happen to have a DJ when we were stopping in for a bite, I think it's normal for them to have a DJ or music with a celebratory atmosphere.
